the Gym's diary part 4: the exercises

It is amazing how everything is so synchronized at the gym. We start with some cardio (like 15mnts of it) and then we go downstairs for some lightweight exercises (other 20mnts) and then, depending on the instructors they send us back to cardio (up to the 4th floor!!) or to use the machines. Since I want to lose weight, they have sent me back to cardio twice. After all of this, we do some relaxation exercises. But what amazes me is how the routines start every 20mnts in every floor. So, you can catch them up and go up or downstairs without losing anything. Efficient, hu? The diet is better now. At least I can eat chicken, tuna, cheese and Turkey and I lost 7 pounds already!!!

the Gym's diary part 3: the pain

I didn't go to the gym today. I had one of the most horrible headaches last night. The doc from my insurance company came and gave me a shot of something that made me pass out. Yes!!! Bye, bye pain. I don't know if it was because of the diet from hell, the exercises from hell, the new medication my cardiologist gave me or all of the above. But I will go tomorrow. And I got all the food I need for the second part of the diet which seems bearable. I can't wait for tomorrow to come and have a cracker!!!!!!!!!! Eggs!!!!!!! Food!!!!!!!! Did I tell you I hate vegetables and my 3 day diet is ONLY vegetables???

Tomorrow, I will see how many pounds I have lost these days (they weight you every Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Will it be more than one pound?? It better be...

the Gym's diary part 2: surviving the first day

I hate the diet!! Well, this is a 3 day diet for cleaning my system. I am not sure it is cleaning anything, but... am I cranky? oooooh yes! You bet I am!!! You wouldn't wanna see me right now. I NEED SUGAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!!!

The good thing is that I have already lost a pound. Can you believe it? One day in hell and I already lost one pound... 19 to go.

I couldn't start the exercises (but I started the diet) yesterday because I had to take more exams (back to the cardiologist). So, I have been living 2 days in diet hell and 1 day in gym hell.

... 6 more weeks to go... 19 more pounds to lose...

the Gym's diary part 1: the tests

So, I joined the gym. Not any gym, no no no. If I want to have the "extreme make over Lali edition" before classes begin I need to go to a special gym. Trying to lose those 20 pounds I have gained and hate, I signed up for this program that uses a Brazilian technique for losing weight in 6 weeks: a combination of diets and exercise. Although it is not easy to join it, nop. You have to go through tests: blood test, the cardiologist and the nutritionist. And if you do not follow their instructions they throw you out of the program. I took the blood test yesterday and today I saw the cardiologist… my heart is ready for exercising! My cousin lost 35 pounds there and says that the first two weeks are hell, so I will blog from hell. Oh! And I met a very handsome guy at the gym. Actually, I bumped into him on my way to the cardiologist office.

I think I’m gonna love the gym. :)
